Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement testing strategies for complex microservices architecture.
  • Organize and control quality for all types of testing: integration, regression, system, acceptance, and smoke testing.
  • Lead the QA direction in the team: test planning, task distribution, quality control of deliverables.
  • Conduct in-depth testing of REST APIs (Postman, Swagger) including complex data validation through SQL queries (PostgreSQL).
  • Analyze network traffic (Charles/Fiddler) and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) for rapid defect localization.
  • Audit and review requirements, technical documentation for contradictions, gaps, and testability.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation (Test Plans, Checklists, reports) in Confluence.
  • Mentor and develop QA engineers, conduct code reviews of automated tests and test cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders on product quality issues.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, implement best practices and quality metrics.
  • Participate in risk assessment and sprint/release planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience, including at least 2 years in a Lead QA/Senior QA role with leadership experience.
  • Experience in testing complex distributed microservices systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of test design techniques and risk-based testing.
  • Advanced SQL skills (complex JOINs, window functions, aggregations, query optimization).
  • Deep practical skills with DevTools, Postman, Swagger.
  • Experience in building and maintaining testing documentation (Test Strategy, Test Plans).
  • Strong mentoring skills and development of junior/middle QA engineers.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD.
  • Developed soft skills: leadership, systemic thinking, proactivity, communication, and influencing skills.
